With all the hot new smart phones hitting the market these days I think the demand is there for a phone rental service. Renting a phone for, let's say $25 a month is extremely doable. Want that new iPhone, but you're still under contract? No problem. Want to try out an Android phone, but you don't know if you want to keep it? No problem. How about that new Blackberry, or Windows Phone? No problem!
